A subdomain is, as the name would suggest, an additional section of your main domain name. You create subdomains to help organize and navigate to different sections of your main website, as some people like to call it, a subdomain is a child domain of a larger parent domain. A subdomain replaces www in a domain name e.g www.testing.com will be replaced with shop.testing.com, the subdomain is SHOP.
